Today was a long day, so it's just a quick post.

These images were taken at Pleasure Beach, an abandoned beach front community in Connecticut. These photos were taken in 2010.

In 1996 the only bridge connecting this area to the mainland burned down, and over the years the houses and other buildings fell into disuse became abandoned.

The beach was full of items that had to be left behind including furniture, appliances and even vehicles.

The majority of the buildings were torn down in 2011, and the land added to a wildlife preserve.

Some days I'll have to do something more with these photos.
