I had a photo professor who loved to say, "if you're photo isn't interesting enough you're not close enough." It's a famous line by Robert Capa, and it's generally true. "Everyone can see the way we normally see," he would continue, (my professor, not Robert Capa, who's been dead for 60 years) "...show us something we can't normally see." If I'm ever in a rut or just bored this is a piece of advice that I like to go back to.

The single flower is much more interesting that the whole garden.
